During this pandemic time or in this school year, there will be no periodic or quarterly exams for learners. This is what the Department of Education said during its Monday virtual press briefing.
DepEd Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction Diosdado San Antonio emphasized that learners would be assessed according to their written outputs and performance tasks instead of periodic tests.
“In our proposed (revised) learning evaluation, we are dispensing with the periodic assessments, we will do written outputs and performance tasks,” San Antonio said.
“For us, this is the best moment, so we talk to parents , grandparents, and other important adults to help DepEd effectively improve the importance of integrity,” he said.
However, a memorandum concerning this new learning appraisal strategy has yet to be published by the DepEd.
