  2. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

I would like to share this to my learners.
It is a story about friendship, loyalty and remorse.
The plot was brilliantly crafted. Unexpected twists and turns made the story unforgettable and it will really mark in one’s heart. The way the characters, Amir and Hassan, portrayed their roles overwhelmed me and really made a big impact.
This is the feeling I want my learners to experience. I want them to feel the gravity of every book they read. I want them to feel the characters, to ache for more. I want to bring back the joy of reading to our young.

  3. ABAKADA Donna D. Melgar SDO Cabuyao

  4. DUMATING NA SI MANANG ELISA BEBET- SDO TRECE MARTIRES CAVITE Children ages 7-12 desires to discover the TRUTH about themselves and others. This book promotes family and societal acceptance in terms of gender. Discussions and writings about LGBTQ++ are associated with positive young adult mental and physical health which will lead to protection against depression, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation and behaviors. When children realize that they should support each other, they will have greater self-esteem, thus leads to attaining their full capacity as a being. Moreover, Sir Godfrey Dancel wrote the story in such a manner that you can feel the whole imagery of the setting which is good for the students’ cultural development.

  5. The Little Prince_Maam Yhen – SDO -Camarines Sur

This story made by Antoine de Saint -Exupery portrayed so many realizations in life, the importance of childhood, love, friendship and imagination which our student needs to understand. Also this book gave us lesson about how every individual is important. Every individual has its purpose which children nowadays must know that they have purpose, there are reasons why certain things happened. The little prince also represents inquisitiveness or open-mindedness, which is the key to our children in understanding a situation or brought new learnings and happiness. Big or small He/she must be proud of what he /she accomplished. There is no easy way to have the best in life, learn to sacrifice even if in simple way. Children must know that 😊😇

  6. ANG TIKBALANG KUNG KABILUGAN NG BUWAN

KIEN B. MAYORGA, TANJAY CITY DIVISION

  7. PETER PAN BERANDETTE_SDO ISABELA

Peter Pan is a man with dexterity and strength. He took Wendy and her siblings to his land although his mortal enemy, Captain Hook lived there. I would like to share this to the kids and to my children because this story wants to tell to us that we should be careful that we don’t lose our childhood innocence. When we grow up most of us will forget about it, we lose it and become adults.Let us all enjoy life because you only live at once, so we must live our life to the fullest.

“Ang Unang Baboy sa Langit” Sir Ayie SDO Bikol Catanduanes

This story is one of my favorite stories written by Rene Villanueva and I want to share this to my learners not because of relevant and nowadays issue which is pandemic but because of the lesson gained and learned in the story which are; CLEANLINESS,PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE and CHANGE.
I would like to inculcate to the young adults the importance of cleanliness of physicall well being and healthy environment like what Butsiki did, because it bears a public and personal hygiene and sanitation which is essential to everyone.
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE, this proverb advises everyone to care themselves before too late to save their lives, yes people can have money, houses and luxurious things but they cannot buy health.
Once getting a serious desease, everthing becomes nothing immediately and we can do something to prevent deseases.
CHANGE,to change in a way that ultimately leads to a result in a more positive situation or outcome, nakakaiyak mang sabihin sa pag-lisan ni Butsiki nag-iwan s’ya ng pababagong ikinintal sa kanyang naiwan, change for the better, not be passive and be different!!!

  9. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST SIR_HERMAN OF SDO ISABELA

We all know that LIFE IS AN ECHO, WHAT YOU DO WILL ALWAYS COMEBACK TO YOU WITH FULL MEASURES.

This is exactly what happened to the prince because of his attitude towards women, he was punished or cursed and his handsome face which everybody adores, turned into a horrible one.

But at the end of the story, he turned again into a handsome man because he felt the true love of bell to him and they lived happily ever after.

Indeed, true love is not just about physical aspect, it is how you able to connect to one another, how you respect and interact to one another, how you impact to one another and most of all, how you show goodness or kindness to one another.

And I would like to share this to the kids out there most especially to my future sons and daughters that we should value inward characteristics such as kindness over other qualities such as wit and appearance because at the end of the day physical beauty and wit will last but your kindness will stay forever.

  10. Title: William’s Doll Ayah of SDO San Pablo CityThis story is about a boy who wanted a doll but his father doesn’t want to buy it because for him it is not gender appropriate. One day his grandmofther visits him and allow him to buy the doll because she knew that doll will help him to know about good parenting. This becomes my favorite children’s book because it tells us to stop sex stereotyping. We have to let children choose what they want to have a genuine happiness. This also makes me realize that sometimes we should break the traditional gender roles because sometimes we learn more if we put our feet on the shoes of others.

  11. Funny Komiks Mam_Chel of SDO- Nueva Ecija

Browsing Funny Komiks in my Facebook account with my 7yo child. She says “Mommy, gusto ko rin basahin yan. Pwede mo ba ako ipag- print?” And I saw the spark in her eyes looking at those pictures of comics in my phone. Then I realized, if my younger child is excited with these as much as I am during my childhood days, I am sure my pupils will do love these kinds of reading materials. It plays our imagination, exercise our reading abilities and most of all, continue to give reasons for my pupils to love reading, love reading, and live life with lots of love in reading.
